Virtually pure art nouveau in the floral elements just a hint of classicism and with a shield shaped cartouche contained an embossed crown and wreath. Fabulous and quite rare colours, really great mid blue ground, grey/mauve in the cartouche and natural colours for the flowers. Unusually for Rhodes this small group bore no pattern numbers so not possible to place it in the timeline from that information, clearly late edwardian from the style. I suspect this was made for the coronation of George V in 1911 so would have been made late in 1910 or early 1911.
