These hand painted 5 tile panels are very rarely found. Note this is not a transfer printed outline with the colours filled in.

Great subject matter, naturalistic pond life featuring a swan and kingfisher with lilies and bullrushes. The birds are beautifully represented and the design is well balanced and true to life.

Overall this is an excellent panel and in very good condition considering it is over 100 years old.

The condition is very good for a 5 tile panel, fortunately the largest damage, a large chip on the top tile, is well away from the design and easily hidden with a frame or grout. There are some other minor marks and a little wear to the painting on the bottom tile.

The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
