This is a brilliant tile, one of the prettiest majolica tiles ever and it's a great tile from all viewpoints. Excellent subject matter, well balanced design, good moulding and a wide range of colours. Gibbons Hinton were really excellent with their use of colour, better than many of the well known names, they are relatively unknown nowadays because few of their wares were marked but their patterns can be seen all over the world.

There are a half a dozen very small tiny edge/corners chips, and four tiny/very tiny surface chips, light surface marks. A couple of small factory faults, very clean and very high brilliance.

The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
