These are from a set from a Victorian fireplace which included some severely nibbled tiles. Border tiles of a universal appeal to compliment larger, more dramatic tiles. The pale green (celadon) clay body of the tiles suggest Sherwin & Cotton but the backs show two different marks. Transfer printed tiles smaller than 6" x 6" are unusual, these tiles are rare.

Condition varies as one might expect across 8 tiles. Two have been broken and glued, a couple have very small edge/corner chips and there are other tiny to minute edge chips.
