A great colour combination in this hand crafted design from the excellent collection of Henry Richards including a deep turquoise background and two blues in the flowerhead. Good green and orange too which perfectly compliment the stippled colouring of the flowerhead.
See also this tile which has the same pattern/colour number yet the background colour is quite different. This illustrates the difficult they had with producing colours, most notably slight variations in kiln conditions would alter the final colour.

Two top corners cropped for the original installation in a washstand. There are three tiny glaze chips on the tube line and a little slight surface rubbing. A very clean and bright tile.
