A few small edge chips mostly bottom right side,
minor surface marks, very clean and bright. Style/technique: Floral majolica A nice majolica tile in natural colours and
featuring a pair of pansies. Pattern number 3 so
one of the first designs by Henry Richards its
introduction will date from 1901 these made in
the following few years judging by the grip
pattern. Versos a bit grubby and slight plaster
residue, pattern number painted, England
embossed Condition: good Chip top left corner, it's an old one and would
have been hidden by the fireplace frame, minute
surface chip and line from the fireplace frame near
right edge, clean and very brilliantly glazed. The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430
pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format, The image is a little oversize rather than
cropped close to the edges so that the edges can
easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly
spotted. Other marks described are usually not
visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as
one normally sees it and can only be seen with a
critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch
imperfections in reflected light. For more details
