Most unusually matt glazed and in hushed tones and with the pure white body first painted in a cream background, quite rare decorating style for the times. Good subtlety and gradients in the painting as typical for Copeland not the usual print & tint colour wash. A more typical blue printed example is illustrated in Lockett on page 190.
