An unusual combination, a floral centre of interlocking flowering sprigs with a rococco type border and iznik influenced corner motifs. Late date for this kind of victorian aesthetic mixed influence tile, registered in 1902 when art nouveau was the driving force in modern design. Usual manufacturing quality for Pilkington, good quality biscuit but lesser in the decoration

Verso fully marked with 'P's, pattern number, design registration number.

Medium chip bottom right corner, a litle roughness nearby on the bottom edge, one very small chip middle of bottom edge. Surface condition is near perfect, some light discolouration in the crazing. Generally very clean and bright.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted.
