Aesthetic Transfer Printed Tile

A super flowing aesthetic design with stylised sunflower-like flowers and surrounded by scrolling and floral borders, well printed in a super shade of blue on a creamy body. This genre can be fairly well established as around 1881 by virtue of similar designs registered by companies like Boote and Simpson.

Verso plain unmarked grid similar to those of Campbell. This pattern sometimes in error cited as by Minton & Hollins (sic) who always in our experience marked their tiles.

Condition: Excellent
Price: £65 (approx $130)

One tiny chip top right and a few minute chips to the edges, some very light surface scratches but a really brilliant glaze. A nice, clean tile in good blues.

The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light. For more details of how we describe marks see Condition.
