A characteristic art nouveau design with a triple flower group in an oval cartouche formed by the leaves. Another most exceptional colour, an excellent burgundy. Boote struggled with all colours including red especially on multicolour tiles, this design is most often seen in the ubiquitous green

Verso very clean typical Boote bars and embossed England and design registration number.

*Blanchett notes a moulded tile back with registration number attributed to The Decorative Art Tile Co, we have two other versions of that tile with different back/registration number styles one of which is remarkably similar to this. Boote rarely if ever used design registration numbers on their own behalf the cost saving no doubt contributing to their tiles being the most affordable of all the major manufacturers. With low prices they also were a significant, perhaps the largest, OEM for tiles with other companies designs.

The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light. For more details of how we describe marks see Condition.
