Rare Advertising Pot Stand Tile
Style/technique: Floral print advertising ware Manufacturer: Probably Wade* Dimensions: 6" x 6" Date: circa 1890   A fascinating pot stand if only because of the text underside. A 'corporate gift' from Nicholas Parkinson, Family Grocer and Italian Warehousemen of Fleetwood, a must for one of the Nicholas Parkinson's out there! Dark brown floral print hand coloured in four colours, apparently dust pressed complete with the feet which is unusual in itself, not brilliantly decorated or glazed but a super novelty item for the tile or general antiques collector. *Due to similarities between this and another identified pot stand probably Wade.
Condition: Good Price: £60 (approx $118) Ref: #02923 Several chips around the edges and surface rubbing reflecting its use but no major damage. The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required. The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
