Condition Report
About half a dozen edge/corner chips, one small
the rest very tiny or lesser. Kiln dirty near right
edge otherwise perfect surface, very clean and
bright.

A very pretty and quite charming design of a pair
of birds on a flower with butterfly nearby nicely
printed in dark brown and coloured with four bright
colours and brilliantly glazed. A rarely found
design and by a virtually heard of manufacturer
Charles Timmis who are recorded as being tile and
earthenware manufacturers from Longton (now part of
Stoke upon Trent). Most likely they decorated
bought in biscuit.
Verso slightly smoke stained, standard grid,
printed pattern number (registration number known
from another example).
