A very pretty and quite charming design of a pair
of birds on a flower with butterfly nearby nicely
printed in dark brown and coloured with four bright
colours and brilliantly glazed. A rarely found
design and by a virtually unheard of manufacturer
Charles Timmis who are recorded as being tile and
earthenware manufacturers from Longton (now part of
Stoke upon Trent). Most likely they decorated
bought in biscuit as this is different to another
also seen.
Verso very clean, Boote-like rings, printed
pattern number and registration number.
