A fabulous floral tile the design of a posy
of flowers tied by a ribbon pleasing but not the
most interesting, the glaze colours although
having bled are phenomenal.
This is an outstanding example of Marsden's
blue, dare I say it the best even beating
Sherwin & Cotton and Henry Richards
(although the latter was adventurous and
confident enough to use three blues on one tile)
and far superior to other noted manufacturers
like Pilkington. And we can't ignore the other
colurs, red pink, purple - all dificult colours,
plus we have the tube line in a most rare and
vibrant green.
One could (and I do) wish for a bolder design
and better executed in such colours for it is
the colours that carry this tile and they are
exceptional.
Verso near perfectly clean, usual diagonal
bars, embossed England and registration
number.
