Condition Report
One tiny edge chips, few other extremely minor
marks.. The tile is very clean and bright and the
glaze has excellent brilliance.

A design in the quartered style associated with
William Morris and the Arts & Crafts movement,
the segments having alternate stylised flowerheads
and sprigs. Transfer printed in dark brown and
coloured with three colours, on an off-white clay
body and with Booth's brilliant glaze.
Fascinating as this design was registered by
Edward Venables Greatbatch in 1884 yet is most
seen, or a design so similar that at a glance
appears virtually indistinguishable, by Minton
Hollins as can be seen
here.
Verso very clean, typical Booth grid, printed
registration number and pattern number.
