Condition Report
Amazing condition, over a century old but
virtually as new just one very tiny chip top left,
few extremely light surface marks, minor
manufacturing flaws, brilliant colours and
fantastic glaze.

A pretty aesthetic floral design of flowering
sprigs in a quartered layout. Decorated in
brilliant colours including red and purple and
with Booth's super brilliant glaze. Pattern
number 279 indicates an introduction date around
1884/5 and these would be quite amazing colours
for the time.
Versos very clean, slightly smoke stained,
with Booth's grid and pattern number
printed.

The image is a little oversize rather than
cropped close to the edges so that the edges can
easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly
spotted. Other marks described are usually not
visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as
one normally sees it and can only be seen with a
critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch
imperfections in reflected light. For more details
