An excellent art nouveau design with nice
bright pink flower and pair of opening buds. A
most unusual feature of the design is the
geometric moulded ground with volute patterns
forming a kind of labyrinth. It is surprisingly
rare to find moulded backgrounds on art nouveau
tiles which in colourless and lighter coloured
glazes they do show well. This slightly olive
green ground really makes the best of the
moulding and the design visibly completely fills
the tile.
