An excellent art nouveau design tile with near perfect balance of complexity and simplicity the design appears to fill the tile yet is not overfussy or complex indeed is the epitome of restraint. Just two colours although much enhanced by the modelling skills, somewhat unusual colours too there being a grey-green ground and green-blue highlights.

Rarely can I find just cause to enthuse about art nouveau designs by Minton Hollins but this has great attributes. If one is to be honest about design (and life in general) the intent is to create the maximum effect with the minimum of effort, this design does just that.

To add another twist that for the most part only knowlegable collectors will take note of the clay is most unusual being as best as I can describe it 'buff drab' and such that I can not recall witnessing before.

Excellent condition, a few very tiny marks to the edges.

The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 220 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format and on screen is about the size as it would be in real life at the same distance. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
