A few tiny rim chips/roughness, half a dozen tiny surface chips and lesser marks, very tight hairline origin just below mid left, almost invisible. Very clean, brilliant colours and glazes.

An excellent geometric floral art nouveau design and in super colours bright red, yellow and jade green. Made by Cleveland Tile Co, little is known about them but they made some really excellent designs, not very many are known perhaps a dozen so there must be more to be identified. This design illustrated in Blanchett on page 153 although in rather more restrained colours.

There are relatively few geometric floral art nouveau designs and indeed they are difficult to differentiate as with four repeats the elements are smaller and simpler giving less scope to contrast with other styles. It's an interesting genre to collect and one that shouldn't break the bank as they don't come along very often.

Verso very clean, unmarked generic rails.

The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
