Richly glazed is indeed somewhat of an understatement for I have never seen glazes so thickly applied on this design, the effect is quite wonderful for the glazes are very translucent and there are no surface marks that detract. This is one of the most often erroneously described as tube lined moulded tiles yet on this example one can barely see the outlines for the surface is almost as smooth as glass. Verso very clean, embossed registration number and England.
