Minor manufacturing flaws.
Style/technique: Aesthetic print &
tint This is a fabulous tile. Bright and cheery,
full of fun, not too formal and with an
endearing touch of naivety. A sprig with an
aggressively stylised flower lollops across, a
quarter flower emerges from a bottom corner
rather more like the sun appearing over the
horizon than a flower. Set amongst a variety of
decorative geometric borders and most of all
coloured in super bright summery colours. It
just makes you want to smile. Don't know who the manufacturer is however I
vaguely suspect that the decorators may be
Smith, Ford & Jones on another's
biscuit. Verso perfectly clean, 6 x 6 grid or six rail
grip pattern, painted pattern number. Three rim chips, very small/tiny/very tiny. Near
perfect surface, perfectly clean and brilliantly
glazed. Half a dozen rim chips, tiny/very tiny. Near
perfect surface, perfectly clean and brilliantly
glazed. The image is full size at 72 dpi (about 430
pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format, a
larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG
format can be forwarded by email if required. The image is a little oversize rather than
cropped close to the edges so that the edges can
easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly
spotted. Other marks described are usually not
visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as
one normally sees it and can only be seen with a
critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch
imperfections in reflected light. For more details
of how we describe marks see Condition.
