Excellent Fine Art Copeland Tile
Condition: Perfect Price: £245 (approx $369) Ref: 03712   An excellent fine art floral tile by the noted ceramicists Copeland Spode. Hand painted in the most brilliant of colours and having come down to us over the last hundred years in undamaged condition. Fascinating annotations verso the instructions for the painter. The customer, Mr Bishop ordered the design of 2½ (2 flowers and a bud) full flush on a sage green background. The image is a scan of the tile full size at 72 dpi (about 570 pixels wide) in maximum quality JPEG format. A larger 120 dpi image also in maximum quality JPEG format can be forwarded by email if required. The image is a little oversize rather than cropped close to the edges so that the edges can easily be seen and any chips etc can be quickly spotted. Other marks described are usually not visible at all when the tile is viewed straight as one normally sees it and can only be seen with a critical eye when the tile is tilted to catch imperfections in reflected light.
