Very small chip bottom edge and a minute glaze
chip left edge, glazed over flaw top edge. Surface
is perfect. Style: Art
Nouveau A nice art nouveau majolica design with three
flowers and three buds in an unusual format.
Super rich colours, rich burgundy ground,
cornflower blue flowers and rich green foliage.
Red one of the most difficult glaze colours to
use often leaching in to adjacent colours and
seemingly creating other problems in the kiln as
red tiles seem to bear more than the usual share
of manufacturing flaws. Versos very clean embossed registered and
England and the lion in shield badge. White mark mid right is a glaze miss, marks left
and bottom edges are glaze losses, glazed over flaw
upper right. Surface is very near perfect. Slight glaze losses to the very tip of the right
edge, minor manufacturing flaws. Surface is
perfect. Very tiny chip bottom edge, minor manufacturing
flaws. Surface is perfect.
